E-mail Stationery with Other E-mail Programs
Other e-mail programs (those not listed on the prior page, Viewing E-Mail Stationery Created With Scrippy) do not support enough of the current HTML and DOM Recommendations (defined by The World Wide Web Consortium) to display the advanced visual effects which can be created with Scrippy.
In most e-mail programs you will be able to read the text part of the sender's message but you won't see the intended visual format, and you may see images which are out of place.
In some e-mail programs (e.g. Opera) you may see only the first part of the text on the page. In this case you can try using your "Reply" function - most e-mail programs which do not display stationery correctly will convert it to "plain text" when you start a reply, so you will be able to read the entire message in the reply window.
If you are using Hotmail or Yahoo Mail, note that you can configure these e-mail services to work with Outlook Express. If you do this then you will be able to view received stationery correctly. For more information see:
If you are using an e-mail service which cannot be used to view stationery e-mail and which cannot accessed from Outlook Express (AOL for example), you might want to consider creating a Hotmail or Yahoo Mail account for use as your main e-mail account and then configuring it to be used with Outlook Express as described in the above links.
