Problems with E-mail Stationery in Outlook 98 and 2000
You must have Internet Explorer version 5 or later installed on the computer to be able to view stationery correctly with these versions of Outlook.
These versions of Outlook do not display "tickers" (small text messages displayed in the status bar at the bottom.
If you have the "Preview Pane" enabled, note that these versions of Outlook will never display stationery as intended in the preview pane. They always have "scripting" turned off for the preview pane and cannot display advanced effects there. To view a received stationery you must double-click the e-mail to open it in a separate window.
If you have Outlook 2000 and you have installed the "Outlook E-Mail Security Update" or you have installed service release 2 ("SR-2"), stationery can not be displayed correctly. (Very simple stationery which does not contain any scrolling images and which is not resizable may still work correctly. But most stationery, including any made with Scrippy, will not.) Unfortunately there is no work-around available from Microsoft. The only solution is to uninstall the patch, which requires uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2000.
If the Internet Explorer security settings have been changed on your computer to disable scripting, this will cause stationery to display incorrectly in Outlook 98 or 2000. Click here for instructions about this possibility.
